When Is Exercise Too Much Exercise?

One of the foundational cornerstones I have in almost every discussion with patients about having a healthy lifestyle involves a discussion about exercise.   Most people seem to have an “exercise allergy”.   They have somehow developed a very bad habit of not exercising though their body desperately needs it.   A few people exercise too much.   Exercise too much?   How can that be you say?    Of course spending all your time exercising to the neglect of your responsibilities is too much but that’s not what I’m referring to.  Too much exercise harms the body by causing an increase in “micro-inflammation.   Micro-inflammation is something you don’t want and unfortunately it’s something a lot of us have.   So how can we stop this from happening and what does exercise have to do with it all?   Actually exercise is only one aspect of the battle against micro-inflammation and that’s what this video is all about.
